Collection: Holiday Rush summer collection

In the 2026 summer collection Holiday Rush Riviera is calling the moomins. The limited-edition collection is the first chapter of five summer collections to come.

In this year’s Summer Seasonal collection, the French coastal glamour awaits the Moomins. As it’s the family’s first trip there, the bustle and last-minute stress are real! Named Holiday Rush, the collection starts a whole new chapter in the summer collections, and the adventure, of course, starts with packing.
Available during the spring-summer season only.

Packing the spirit of adventure

There are those who have their luggage ready days before departure, and those whose packing turns into a beautiful mess. The new Holiday Rush summer collection shows both types of travellers.

While Moominpappa is all done and ready to go, the rest of the family is still on it. Moomintroll is jumping on his bursting suitcase. Moominmamma is still deciding between the essentials, such as a jam jar and tableware, never forgetting her most precious handbag. Snorkmaiden is rushing in the background with towels, blankets, and whatnots.

These illustrations are inspired by the beloved comics Moomin on the Riviera (1955) and Moomin Under Sail (1959). As the Riviera story goes, the travel plan is Moominpappa and Snorkmaiden’s idea, because they want to travel south and “feast all night”. Some elements for the illustration are also picked from the Moomin and the Comet (1958) comic.

Novelties for summer adventures

The new collection comes with the classic summer ceramics duo, a mug and a plate, with the thrill of an adventure beginning reflected in the illustration. The same motifs are repeated on other dining, kitchen, and summer settings items, such as a kitchen towel, napkins, a tray, and a water bottle.

The inner side of the mug and, for the first time, the edge of the plate feature a fun detail: a note that reads, “The key is under the window-sill!”. It sums up the Moomins' hospitality – the doors of the Moominhouse are always open, even when the family is away.

But if you’re feeling a holiday fever rising, like most of us do this time of the year, the collection doesn’t leave you just daydreaming! From passport covers and luggage tags to beach bags and umbrellas, it has you covered with the essentials you need wherever you’re heading this season.
